About this package
Annapurna Base Camp in 10 days: one of the world's great short treks.
This itinerary takes you from the heritage lanes of Kathmandu and the lakeside calm of Pokhara right into the Annapurna Sanctuary, a glacial amphitheatre at 4,130 m ringed by Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna and the sacred Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). Along the way you walk through terraced Gurung villages, bamboo and rhododendron forests and the dramatic Modi Khola gorge, and finish with a soak in the natural hot springs at Jhinu Danda.
The trek has six walking days of 4–7 hours on well-built stone trails, so it suits fit beginners and experienced walkers alike. A government-licensed guide, a porter, all permits, teahouse stays, trek meals, domestic flights and private transfers are arranged for you.
Best seasons: March–May (rhododendrons in bloom) and September–December (clearest mountain views). Maximum altitude: 4,130 m. Grade: Moderate.
